What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
My inspiration for Gloria Smiled are the desert quails who live in my native Land of Enchantment. I became acquainted with them during my many walks along the arroyos.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
Seeing a covey of quail while on a walk or hike just makes my day. One thing I've noticed is that quails often seem to be scurrying about with important purpose. They are on a mission! Mixing that observation with some imagination is how Gloria Smiled came to be.
