What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
If you put a mom in a minivan, she becomes invisible…and the perfect spy. I've always been fascinated by the world of espionage and the idea of hiding in plain sight. So, I put these two unlikely worlds together and wrote The Perfect Spy.
How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I wanted diverse characters with real-life challenges. And I also wanted to show how these characters rise above their challenges and turn their weaknesses into strengths. Kate, especially, must learn to rise above her mistakes and forgive herself.
