To Pieces by Kati Rocky

To friends and family, Jane seemed like a normal teen… until one day she didn’t.

Jane Flynn – an average “Plain Jane” finds life taking a dramatic detour junior year of high school when she undergoes her first bipolar episode. This novel takes us on a wild ride through Jane’s descent into dark depression and rise into out-of-control mania, while juggling school, first love and a dark family secret.

Targeted Age Group:: YA
Heat/Violence Level: Heat Level 3 – PG-13

What Inspired You to Write Your Book?
I was inspired to write this book because I couldn't find a young adult novel about a teen with bipolar disorder and really wanted to see this issue covered in fiction. The story came to me and I knew I had to tell it and share it with others…

How Did You Come up With Your Characters?
I based characters on people in real life and then altered them to fit the story. Other characters found their way into my imagination while I was writing – the story dictated who populated the novel.
